MIRI: A yacht caught fire at Marina Bay Jetty, here, in the early hours of today, prompting an immediate response from the Fire and Rescue Department.
A team of firefighters from the Miri Central Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the scene after being alerted to the incident at 3.44 am.
Upon arrival, they found the 15-metre-long vessel ablaze, with approximately 40 per cent of the yacht engulfed in flames.
Firefighters battled the fire for two hours before successfully extinguishing it. No injuries were reported.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
