KUCHING: The Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) hosted its 2026 Iftar gathering on Saturday (March 7) where 100 underprivileged students received Hari Raya Aidilfitri contributions.
The event held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) was attended by Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment, Datuk Len Talif Salleh.
The gathering aimed to strengthen ties among STIDC staff while highlighting the corporation’s corporate social responsibility through festive assistance for children from asnaf families ahead of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
A total of 100 students from 10 schools across Kuching received the contributions.
The participating schools were Sekolah Rakyat Jalan Haji Bolhassan, SK Merpati Jepang, SK Pajar Sejingkat, SK Kampung Senari, SK Matu Baru, SK Rakyat Tupong, SK Rakyat Astana, SK Goebilt, SK Pulo and SK Gersik.
The contributions were presented by Len Talif and his wife, Datin Asiah Awai.
STIDC said the annual initiative reflects its continued commitment to easing the burden of the underprivileged while sharing the blessings of Ramadan with the local community.
