KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 1,005 players will vie for titles at the Kuala Lumpur International Junior Squash Championships 2025, slated to be held from Dec 2-7.

This year’s championship participants from 23 countries mark the second consecutive year the tournament has surpassed the 1,000-player milestone after 1,045 entries last year, demonstrating the tourney’s growing popularity and prestige.

Squash Racquets Association of Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur (SRAFTKL) president and Organising Chairman Steven Kwan said he is delighted that the 17th edition of the tournament continues to be a platinum event for the seventh year since 2017.

“We can expect a great week of squash with some thrilling matches from these players who aspire to be World or Olympic champions one day.

“This tournament will be a perfect platform for them to achieve their dreams,” he said in a statement yesterday. – BERNAMA
