KUCHING: The Sarawak Road Transport Department (RTD) has successfully collected RM85,895 through a public auction of seized vehicles held on Wednesday (Nov 27).
The auction, attended by eight bidders, featured 11 vehicles—eight of which could be licensed and the other three were for non-licensable use.
According to the department on its Facebook page, a Range Rover Jeep fetched the highest bid at RM62,000, while a Suzuki motorcycle recorded the lowest bid at RM25.
Sarawak RTD deputy director Nor Azlan Ibrahim oversaw the event, which was also attended by senior RTD officers and representatives from the National Audit Department as observers.
The department congratulated the successful bidders and expressed its appreciation to all divisions involved in the successful event.
