PUSA: A total of RM1.27 million has been approved under the Sejati Madani Fund to be distributed to 13 Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs) in the district.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the fund aims to assist JKKKs in carrying out specific activities in their respective areas.

“This allocation is intended to support programmes such as smart chilli fertigation agriculture, red tilapia fish farming, and the provision of rental facilities for public announcement (PA) systems, canopies, and musical instruments,” he said.

He said this on his Facebook post after officiating at the Pusa District Sejati Madani Fund Handover Ceremony at Dewan Rahmaniah Pusa here yesterday (Dec 14).

Fadillah urged the JKKKs to ensure that the allocated funds are managed efficiently for the benefit of the committee and local residents.

“When a JKKK has strong finances due to good governance, it can provide better facilities for the local community,” he said.

He also encouraged the JKKKs to seek advice and guidance from local authorities (PBT) or experts should they lack expertise in financial management and growth.

“Do not hesitate to ask questions or expand your knowledge in accounting and business management.

“I am confident that when JKKKs have strong financial management expertise, they will become robust and progressive committees capable of offering comprehensive support to their communities,” he added.

Also present were Batang Lupar MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli, Layar assemblyman Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu, Beting Maro assemblyman Razaili Gapor, and Lingga assemblywoman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor.
