SIMANGGANG: A total of 14 inmates from Sri Aman Central Prison were reunited with their families under the Ihsan MADANI Licensed Prisoner Release (PBSL) programme.

According to its official statement, their return is highly anticipated in conjunction with the upcoming Kaamatan Festival and Gawai Dayak 2025 celebrations.

“The release involves 14 Licensed Persons of Liberty (OBB) who will undergo the PBSL programme.

“Twelve of the OBBs are released under the guarantee of family members, while the remaining two will be placed in halfway houses,” the statement read.

The release session included a briefing on the PBSL terms and conditions to the OBBs and their guarantors.

The session was officiated by the Deputy Director of Sri Aman Central Prison, PP Mohd Hidayat Ismail.

Head of the Correctional Division, Awang Azizzan Hasbi, was also present during the event.
