SIBU: Fourteen suspected drug users aged between 23 and 41 were detained during a three-operation carried out by the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK) Sibu District from May 26 to 28.
Codenamed Ops Cegah Khas, the evening operation began at 6 pm with six AADK officers conducting targeted raids at multiple locations across Sibu town.
AADK Sibu in a statement said among those arrested were five women aged between 23 and 41, and nine men aged between 23 and 39.
“All suspects tested positive for methamphetamine following preliminary urine screenings,” they said.
The agency said the cases are being investigated under Section 3(1) of the Drug Dependants (Treatment and Rehabilitation) Act 1983.
