SIBU: The 9th Infantry Brigade Malaysia held a blood donation drive whereby they managed to collect 68 blood packs.
The event, held in conjunction with the infantry’s 41st anniversary, was held at Star Mega Mall here yesterday.
The event was graced by the 9th Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier-General Dzulkafli Mustafa.
A total of 136 personnel from the 9th and 31st Infantry Brigade Malaysia as well as four members of the public took part in the blood donation exercise.
The event, which was held from 10.00am to 1.30pm, is a collaborative effort between the 9th Brigade and the Sibu Hospital’s Blood Bank Unit to fulfill the need of more blood supply at the hospital.
Also present at the event were Sibu Lion Club and 9th Brigade headquarters chief of staff, Lieutenant Colonel Jauhari Talib.
