LAWAS: A 46-year-old man was yesterday sentenced to 15 years’ jail and 10 strokes of the rotan by the Magistrate’s Court here for raping his own daughter aged 26.
Judge, Mohd Hafizi Abdul Halim passed the sentence after the man from Kampung Languban, Merapok admitted to his crime.
The court ordered the jail sentence to run from March 8, the day the culprit was detained by police.
The man’s daughter had reported to police that her father had been raping her since she was 15 years old and the last time he sexually assaulted her was at 10am on February 1 this year.
The last rape happened at a hut in the family’s rubber garden at Kampung Languban, Merapok.
Inspector Masri was the Prosecuting Officer while the accused was unrepresented in court.
