KUCHING: A total of 151 recipients were conferred various Darjah-Darjah Kebesaran, Bintang, and Pingat Negeri Sarawak by the Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, during the 2023 Investiture Ceremony held today at the Grand Hall, Astana Negeri Sarawak.
The ceremony, which commenced at 10:30 am, honoured individuals for their outstanding service and contributions across various sectors for the benefit of the people and the state of Sarawak.
Leading the list of recipients for the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak – Johan Bintang Sarawak (J.B.S.) were Pemanca Roshidi Junai, Rodger Chan Siong Boh, and Ruslan Abdul Ghani.
Meanwhile, Yussibnosh Balo was the sole recipient of the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak – Johan Bintang Kenyalang (J.B.K.).
Nine individuals were awarded the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak – Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (P.B.S.), including Tanjung Datu Assemblyman, Azizul Annuar Adenan; Serembu Assemblyman, Miro Simuh; and Ts Mazli Mustaffa.
Fifteen individuals received the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak – Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K.).
Twenty individuals were awarded the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak – Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S.), while 18 received the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak – Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K.).
In the category of Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak – Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S.), 24 individuals were recognised.
For the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam – Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (P.P.C.), four recipients were honoured, including Sharifah Rohana Datuk Wan Alwi, Catherine Ridu, and Dolhadi Mazuki.
Eighteen individuals were awarded the Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B.), while the Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (P.P.T.) was presented to 37 recipients.
In addition, two individuals received the Pingat Jasa Keberanian – Pingat Perwira Negeri (P.P.N.) (Gangsa), namely Nehemia Bonel Pantulusang and Nora Ibrahim (on behalf of the late Ibrahim Saili), for their bravery and sacrifices in fulfilling their responsibilities in service to the people and the state.
The ceremony, originally scheduled for 2023, had been postponed and was held today to officially confer the Darjah-Darjah Kebesaran Negeri Sarawak for that year.
