SRI AMAN: A total of 17 projects worth RM166,177,540 have been approved by the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) Steering Committee.

SADA chairperson Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim said the decision was made during a meeting held here on Tuesday (June 11).

“Overall, SADA has approved 69 development projects, including infrastructure, agriculture, economic, and social development, amounting to RM1.3bil, as of June 2024,” she added.

The approved projects include:

  1. Proposal for the study ‘Greater Together: Mapping of Paddy Production Ecosystem in Batang Lupar Granary Area, Sri Aman’;
  2. Coffee Plantation Project;
  3. Preliminary works for Black Tilapia Cage Farming in Batang Ai Phase 1;
  4. Menuang Ulu Community Farm Plot;
  5. Preliminary works to upgrade Sri Aman Access Road (Q7) to a dual carriageway from the Pan Borneo intersection to the city center, Sri Aman Division Phase 1;
  6. Preliminary works for the ‘Proposed Construction of Jalan Tebarong, Sri Aman Division Phase 1’;
  7. Construction of a new road link from Selanjan Angkong to Enchiap, Pantu District, Sri Aman Division;
  8. Construction of a new bridge and road connecting SK Ng Kesit / Kesit Health Clinic / Ng Kesit Agricultural Station with longhouses across Batang Lemanak, Ng Kesit, Lubok Antu, Sarawak;
  9. Proposal for an Integrated Islamic Cemetery Site at Bukit Penyauk (Entulang Land), Sri Aman;
  10.  Wong Merah Waterfalls Glamping Site;
  11. Campsite and facilities at Wong Ajong Engkilili, Sri Aman Division;
  12. Lingga Sports Complex;
  13. Proposal for the construction of a ‘Landing Ramp’ in Simanggang;
  14. Proposal for ‘R&R Recreational Community’;
  15. Batang Lupar Symposium Hall;
  16. Proposal for ‘Drainage Improvement Works’ at Kg Muhibbah and RPR, Sri Aman, Sarawak; and
  17. Proposal for ‘Drainage Improvement Works’ at RPR Engkilili, Sri Aman.
