KUCHING: Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) will open its doors for free to the public for two days at the end of this month, in appreciation of visitors’ continued support over the past 27 years.
SCV’s Director of Sales, Marketing and Programmes, Zaini Zainudin, said the free admission initiative is also a celebration of the village being named Most Cultivating Leisure Arts and Event at last year’s Kenyalang Tourism Awards.
The complimentary entry will coincide with the 27th edition of its annual Harvest and Folklore Festival, to be held on May 24 and 25, which is expected to attract over 16,000 visitors from both within and outside Malaysia.
“We’re anticipating heavy traffic during the event. It usually gets congested all the way to Buntal.
“That’s why we’re encouraging early bookings,” he told RTM after appearing on the Kupa Kopi talk show at RTM Sarawak’s P. Ramlee Auditorium today (May 6).
