MIRI: The grand launch of the 2025 JCI Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians (TOYM) Awards took place today.
It is hosted by JCI Miri to celebrate the remarkable achievements and contributions of young Malaysians.

The prestigious event honours individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields and made significant impacts on society.

In his address, Sarawak Transport Minister, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin thanked JCI Malaysia for continuing the legacy of recognising young talents. 

He also lauded JCI Miri for its dedication and efforts in making the event a reality and commended its commitment to fostering leadership, innovation and positive change among youth.

“The TOYM Awards serve as an inspiration to all Malaysians, particularly the youth by showcasing the power of perseverance, creativity, and community service.

“These outstanding individuals stand as role models, reminding us that with determination and passion, anything is possible,” said Lee who was also one of TOYM’s recipients of the JCI Outstanding Young Malaysians Awards in 1986.

Highlighting Sarawak’s potential, Lee hoped the event would inspire more young Sarawakians to strive for excellence and participate in this prestigious platform. 

“By encouraging and celebrating achievements, the event aims to shape a brighter future for the nation, built on the values of hard work, innovation, and social responsibility,” he added.

He said the 2025 JCI TOYM Awards were expected to inspire more young Malaysians to dream big, work hard and contribute towards the nation’s progress.

The event is scheduled to be held on September 19 this year in Miri.
