LUNDU: A total of 210 houses in Tanjung Datu have been repaired through the Projek Penambahbaikan Rumah Rakyat Miskin Sarawak (PPRMS).

In a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Tanjung Datu assemblywoman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu said the repair of all the houses costs RM2 million.

“PPRMS is a testament to the Sarawak government’s care and concern in assisting the less fortunate to live in comfortable homes,” she said when visiting Ambong Peron’s house in Kampung Sekambal here today.

Ambong’s house required repairs after it was damaged by a fallen tree. The repairs involved the roof, ceiling, walls, bathroom as well as painting, with a total cost of RM13,310.

Ambong thanked Jamilah as well as the state government for their assistance.
