KUCHING: Yayasan Peneraju is celebrating its 13th anniversary with the launch of a special campaign for its beneficiaries and alumni.
Its chief executive officer, Ibrahim Sani, explained that the campaign offers a 30 per cent discount on outstanding loan balances for beneficiaries and alumni who make full payment between February 14 and April 30, 2025.
He added that payments can be made via the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Account 2 or through cash payment.
“We are pleased to introduce this campaign as a way to reward our beneficiaries and alumni for their continued contributions to society.
“By offering this discount, we hope to provide them with a financially prudent option to clear their education loans,” he said.
Following this, he said that the foundation intends to reinvest these repayment funds to support the further growth of Yayasan Peneraju.
“These funds will be used to expand our education financing packages, allowing us to benefit more bumiputera talents than we could have without the repayment of these loans,” he said.
For the record, since its inception in 2012, Yayasan Peneraju has empowered over 75,000 bumiputera individuals, equipping them to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape.
The organisation has also seen a fivefold increase in applications for the Peneraju Teknologi programmes since their introduction in 2021, reflecting its commitment to preparing talent for a digital future.
The year 2024 was a standout year for Yayasan Peneraju, with significant accomplishments that reflect the organisation’s unwavering dedication to providing educational opportunities and developing bumiputera talents.
Key initiatives, including the YP Talent Bank platform and the YP Exchange (YPX) programme, have contributed to greater career opportunities and enhanced collaboration within the ecosystem.
As part of its broader goals for the year, Ibrahim said that Yayasan Peneraju aims to expand its Peneraju Alumni network and continue driving key initiatives under the Ministry of Economy’s Bumiputera mandate.
“Through new partnerships and by embracing industry trends such as AI, Yayasan Peneraju remains at the forefront of progress and innovation, supporting the growth of the bumiputera community,” he said.
