KOTA SAMARAHAN: A total of 30 promising entrepreneurs were selected for a two-day workshop on the Business Model Canvas (BMC).

The pivotal event forms part of the ongoing Samarahan Start Biz Challenge, initiated by Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Datuk Rubiah Wang, supported by MARA Sarawak and in collaboration with Koperasi Belia Inovatif Sarawak (KOBIS) and Sarawak Entrepreneurs Association (SEA).

KOBIS in a statement said the workshop focused on enhancing strategic planning skills among emerging local entrepreneurs.

“The business ideas presented today are not just innovative, they are designed to positively impact Samarahan.

“These proposals perfectly align with our objective to foster entrepreneurship that contributes meaningfully to our community.

“Throughout the workshop, participants explored various facets of the BMC, gaining skills to effectively analyse and refine their business strategies.”

KOBIS added that the event concludes with a pitching competition scheduled for May 15 at the MARA S.T.A.R Accelerator Hub (Pusat Inkubator MARA Samarahan), where the top 10 entrepreneurs will vie for inclusion in the one-year MARA Incubator Programme along with a comprehensive Biz Starter Kit.

“This forthcoming competition is anticipated to highlight exceptional entrepreneurial talent and the innovative spirit permeating Samarahan’s business landscape.”

KOBOS added that MARA remains dedicated to creating a robust ecosystem for entrepreneurs through a wide array of initiatives and programs.

“These resources are meticulously crafted to support entrepreneurs at every phase of their business journey.”
