KUCHING: Police arrested 39 individuals and seized drugs worth RM11,195 during a three-day Op Tapis Khas conducted across the district from Jun 28 to 30.
Kuching police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said police seized 100.78 gram of methamphetamine and 110 Nospan pills during the operation.
“Fourteen individuals were arrested under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, two under Section 39A(1), another two under Section 12(2), one under Section 30(3) of the Poisons Act 1952, and 20 under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said.
Alexson said the operation was the result of continuous intelligence gathering and public cooperation.
“Police will not compromise with those involved in drug trafficking.
“Possessing, trafficking or protecting drug-related activities are serious offences under the law,” he said.
