SIBU: A total of 395 vehicles of various types were inspected, and 78 summonses were issued to drivers for various offences during the Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ) Director’s Ops No. 14 of 2025 held at Jalan Deshon here on Thursday.
The operation involved members of the Sibu JPJ Branch and the Stapang Enforcement Station (SP) with a strength of more than 30 members.
The most common offence detected was having no driving licence.

The operation was also attended by Sarawak JPJ Deputy Director, Nor Azlan Ibrahim, Sibu JPJ deputy head, Mohd Ariffin Zaini, and Stapang SP head, Langie Nyareng.
Meanwhile, JPJ Sarawak in its latest post on its social media account stressed that having a valid driving licence is an important responsibility that must be complied with by every vehicle driver and motorcyclist.
JPJ Sarawak reminded the public not to drive or ride a vehicle if they do not have a valid driving licence for their own safety and that of other road users.
