SIBU: The 3rd Sibu Tower Run 2019 will be held at Wisma Sanyan on March 10, 2019.
Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King said Wisma Sanyan was selected for the run because it was among the tallest buildings in Sarawak. At 110 metres high, it had 627 steps and 28 levels.
“Soh Wai Ching from Penang, who is the tallest World Top 10 winner of the Tower Run, has been appointed as the ambassador for the event next year.
“He will help to promote Sibu worldwide, particularly its tourism related products, festivals and events,” he said yesterday.
The Sibu Tower Run 2019, Tiong added, would be divided into five categories namely, men open, men veteran, women open, women veteran and grouping of ten plus one free (participants must register 11 persons).
