KUCHING: A total of 428 students from 32 schools were unable to sit for their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2020 examination in Sarawak.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said this is due to the implementation of enhanced movement control order (EMCO) and Covid-19 positive cases.

“There are 414 students who are under the EMCO while the other 14 students are Covid-19 positive cases.

“Of the total of students, 205 are males and 223 are females,” he said.

The SPM 2020 examination started off with Bahasa Melayu Paper 1 and 2 on Monday (Feb 22) with 401,105 candidates sitting for their delayed public examination in the new norm.
