KUCHING: A group of 48 alumni from the 1977 class of Kolej Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang Miri along with their former teachers Joseph Nuing and Joseph Simon, gathered for a reunion dinner at Serapi Hotel in Kuching over the weekend.

The gathering not only evoked nostalgia but also marked the first time many of them met again in 47 years.

The event’s organising chairperson Abdul Karim Ali expressed his appreciation to the organising committee for making the reunion a success.

“It enables our former classmates and schoolmates to meet again in person after about 47 years,” he added.

The joyous and memorable evening was filled with activities such as speeches by friends and former teachers, singing and dancing sessions, and lucky draws.

Adding to the joyous atmosphere was the presence of Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, the Deputy Premier of Sarawak, who is also a fellow alumnus.
