KUCHING: A-59-year-old man was killed in a road accident near Kampung Selengok, Jalan Lundu, near here yesterday morning.
The deceased was identified as Kerum Geriak, 59, from Balingian.
It was said that Kerum was heading to a nearby palm oil mill at around 8.00am when his four-wheel-drive (4WD), laden with oil palm fresh fruit bunches, suddenly went out of control and skidded before landing on its side.
He was pinned by the 4WD door when the vehicle landed on its side. He died at the scene.
His body was later taken to Lundu Hospital for a post mortem. Police were also at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
