MIRI: A vessel crew, in his 50’s, was found dead in his hotel room on Monday (Feb 5).
According to Miri OCPS ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, confirmed received a report on the discovery at 2.15pm on the same day.
“The deceased, from Kelantan, had stayed at the hotel with four other crew members,” said Alexson.
According to a preliminary check on the body, police have ruled out foul play and the case is being classified as sudden death.
“Based on the preliminary investigation, we do not suspect foul play,” he said.
The body has been brought to Miri Hospital forensic department for further action.
