KUALA LUMPUR: QL Eggs brought Malaysians together for a memorable celebration at the QL Eggs Breakathon Carnival, where 6,800 eggs were cracked to add golden goodness to the nation’s beloved nasi lemak by Chan Mari Chan.

The record-breaking feat, held in conjunction with Malaysia’s 68th Independence Day, is set to be recognised by the Malaysian Book of Records.

The event, held at The Campus Football Field in Ampang, highlighted QL’s leadership in nutrition and innovation.

At the heart of QL’s mission is a simple belief: good nutrition should never be a luxury, but a right.

Through its Integrated Livestock Farming operations, spanning feed raw material sourcing, feed milling, and layer farming, QL Eggs ensures high standards at every stage of production.

With close-house facilities equipped with environmental controls and strict biosecurity, QL maintains uncompromising quality while keeping eggs one of the most affordable protein sources for Malaysians.

QL’s dedication to innovation also extends to collaborations with institutions such as Universiti Putra Malaysia’s Faculty of Agriculture, driving research and development in modern farming to ensure every egg meets the highest nutritional standards.

Recently, QL introduced the Brain+ Egg, which provides the DHA equivalent of eight glasses of milk in a single egg, along with Choline to support focus, memory, and brain development – a step towards nurturing a smarter, healthier generation.

Each QL Egg is enriched with Gold Class NUTRI™ goodness, fortified with vitamins A, B12, D, E, iodine, selenium, and high-quality protein to deliver superior nutrition.

“From a familiar staple, we break through the ordinary to create something greater – what we call Breakthrough Goodness,” said QL Resources Bhd Group’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chia Song Kooi.

“The Breakathon Carnival is not just a celebration, but a reminder that every time Malaysians break an egg, they can trust QL Eggs for consistent quality, reliable nutrition, and genuine care.”

The carnival was filled with activities under the theme of ‘5 EGG-stra BIG Celebrations’.

Visitors enjoyed ‘EGG-stra BIG’ Prizes, including the chance to win a Golden Egg worth RM11,390 (based on 916 gold value as of July 29), as well as a one-year or half-year supply of QL Eggs through a lucky draw.

There were also ‘EGG-stra BIG Giveaways’, where participants snapped photos with a giant life-size egg to redeem free QL Eggs, savoured free nasi lemak prepared by Chan Mari Chan with QL Eggs, and took part in mini stage challenges to win more eggs.

An EGG-stra BIG Celeb-Studded Lineup added to the excitement, featuring badminton stars, Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin, in an exclusive meet-and-greet, Chef Datuk Fazley Yaakob serving his Creamy Egg Sambal, and content creators Abe Yong, Pinn Yang, and Jason Jezi engaging fans through live cooking and TikTok sessions.

Fans also enjoyed ‘EGG-stra BIG Surprises’, including limited-edition QL Eggs Blind Box plushies, and captured memories at the ‘EGG-stra BIG Lifesize Egg’ sunny-side-up photo wall.

The event drew Malaysians of all ages, blending fun, food, and festivities while reinforcing QL Eggs’ promise to nourish the nation with quality, affordable, and innovative products.
