KAPIT: A 2.5-metre (8.2 feet) crocodile was caught at Kampung Gelam, Song near here, yesterday.
Following a distress call about the crocodile, Song Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) immediately dispatched seven firefighters led by senior fire officer Nasihin Jaum to the scene.
When the firefighters arrived at the scene, they discovered that the crocodile was hooked after it had taken a bait set by a resident at the back of his house.
After the crocodile was captured it was taken to Song fire station before it was handed over to the Wildlife Department.
