SIBU: Eighty orphans from the Orphanage Welfare Organisation (PERYATIM) of Kompleks Kebajikan Juma’ani Tuanku Haji Bujang in Kemunyang here participated in a children’s tea party held at a KFC outlet in Delta Mall here recently.
Organised by the Sibu Branch of the National Association of Life Insurance and Family Takaful Advisors (Namlifa), it is part of their social commitment for the less fortunate held during the year-end festive seasons.
Organising chairperson, Catherine Huang, said the branch hosts similar events every year for selected groups in need.
She expressed her gratitude to committee members who assisted with the programme and contributed goodies and stationery packs for the children.
Adding to the festive atmosphere was an orchestra performance, which helped bring cheer to the Christmas mood.
