800 Leos have registered for forum

KUCHING: The 44th Multiple District 308 Leo Forum 2017 to be held from 28 April to 3 May here being jointly organised by the International Association of Lions Clubs District 308A2 Region 1 comprising 12 Lion Clubs of Kuching, Kota Samarahan and Serian, and 15 Leo Clubs. 

Nearly 800 Leos from Sarawak, Sabah, West Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei have registered to attend this forum. 

Chief Organising Chairman, Feliz Hu said it is a great honour and opportunity for this Region to host Leo Forum again since the last forum held in 1997.

It has a significant meaning for Lions and Leos for Region 1. 

The slogan of this Forum is “One Heart One Mind” which represents the Lions’ and Leos’ determination of dedication to society. The Leos for this Forum is in the age group between 13 and 30 years old.

There will be seminars, workshops, fellowship night, banquet dinners and awards of achievements for the participants. A series of interesting team-work activities, such as Amazing Run will be organised in order to enrich the Leos, enhance their communication and teamwork skills, and help them to strengthen the personal competitive advantage in the future.

Feliz Hu recently presented a letter to Ms Esther Law to invite her to be the speaker for the workshop. 

Ms Esther Law is the founding partner of John C. Maxwell Team (John C. Maxwell is the World’s No. 1 leadership authority).

Besides, she is an international certified trainer and facilitator who holds the qualification of American Association for the Certification of Training Program (AACTP) and Malaysia PSMB Training Certification. She is the Charter President of Connections Toastmasters Club, playing an active role as Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM), had been invited to speak at Toastmasters conventions such as in Indonesia, China and Malaysia. Esther is also Past President of Lions Club of Kuching Host in Year 2009-2011.  

In recent years, she has been invited as speaker in many international conferences in topics such as innovative business model in health care and medical tourism and sharing her personal experiences.

At the same time, she has been actively involved with the CSR programme. She is often invited to the annual meetings and forums of the international public welfare group in China and Southeast Asia and served as the life mentor and coach to teenagers, young doctors and nurses, entrepreneurs or senior executives, providing them guidance and advice in life leadership and communications, work management and strategic planning. 

In the Forum, Esther Law will be speaking on “How to Be a REAL Success”. Success is knowing your purpose in life; growing to your maximum potential; sowing the seeds that benefit others. It is a rather simple recipe yet requires awareness, study, practice and mentoring to achieve.  Through simple theory, interactive learning process Esther will guide the Leos to explore the meaning of life and adopting REAL formula towards Success.
