KUCHING: Eight hundred and six women entrepreneurs in Sarawak have already registered with the e-Wanita’s website.
The Sarawak Women and Family Department together with Socoe Sdn Bhd developed the website that provides a platform for women to market their products globally online.

Welfare, Community, Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said there had been a positive response to the website since its introduction this year.
“Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg has also just launched the e-Wanita application during the International Women’s Day celebration in March.
“Therefore, I encourage more women to grab this opportunity to market their products online as they can reach a bigger market,” she said.
Fatimah explained that the development of the e-Wanita application was still in progress.
“For the time being, the public can access e-Wanita through the website http://e-wanita.com.”
Among the products already promoted on the website are food, frozen food and services such confinement care, body massage, make-up services, jewellery and women’s wear.
