KUCHING: Eighty-one contingents participated in a full dress rehearsal for the Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud’s 81st birthday celebration at the Celebration Square beside Pandelela Renong Aquatic Centre, Petra Jaya, near here yesterday, which went smoothly.
The contingents comprised the various government departments and agencies, private sector and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan was present to oversee the full dress rehearsal.
Also present were First Malaysian Infantry Division Commander, Major General Datuk Stephen Mundaw, Assistant Minister of Coastal Road, Datuk Julaihi Narawi, Assistant Minister of Native Land Development, Datuk Roland Sagah and Assistant Minister of State-Federal Relations and Project Monitoring, Hajah Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali.
