KANOWIT: A total of 85 outstanding students from the Ngemah constituency received educational incentives of RM300 each from the Ngemah State Assemblyman’s Service Centre as a token of appreciation for their excellent results in last year’s SPM and STPM examinations.
Its assemblyman, Anyi Jana, said the incentive is part of ongoing efforts to support educational excellence among rural youth and to encourage other students to strive for academic success.
“The Ngemah Service Centre has awarded RM300 each to 85 top-performing students from SMK Nanga Dap and SMK SEDAYA.
“We are also offering incentives to students pursuing diploma and bachelor’s degree studies,” he said during a recent community event at Rumah (Rh) Gerinang.
Anyi emphasised that education remains a top priority under his leadership, and he would continue to give it a strong focus in line with the government’s aspiration to develop high-quality human capital in rural areas.
Anyi also shared updates on other development initiatives, including the distribution of MRP (Minor Rural Project) and RTP (Rural Transformation Programme) grants, as well as housing repair assistance for eligible residents.
According to him, nearly 100 per cent of Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) and Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) have received funding under the first phase of MRP, with the second phase currently underway.
As a gesture of support for women, he also presented an MRP grant of RM5,000 to the Women’s Bureau of JKKK Rh Gerinang to fund their annual activities.
