KUCHING: A total of 95 recipients in the Satok constituency received Minor Rural Project (MRP) funds amounting to RM1.2 million for the year 2025.
Deputy Minister of Utility (Sarawak Energy Berhad & PETROS), Datuk Ibrahim Baki, said the distribution of the MRP funds reflects the state government’s continued commitment to improving the well-being of the people.

“As with me, all of you here also carry a trust, and with that trust comes responsibility. I understand the need to organise activities and manage operations, as I have previously been involved in associations, organisations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in particular.
“To carry out our operations and planned activities, allocations are indeed necessary. That is why I place priority on supporting all these associations,” he said when officiating the MRP fund handover ceremony for the Satok constituency at Dewan Anak Seni Kampung Bandarsah here today (Feb 1).
Ibrahim, who is also Satok state assemblyman, said the recipients comprised various organisations, NGOs, Kejiranan Mesra (KJM), clubs, parent-teacher associations (PTAs), as well as constituency-based organisations.
He also expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in supporting the government’s policies to develop the community, particularly in the Satok area.
“I hope this assistance will help me continue to engage with and stay close to the people. In any case, I would like to express my sincere thanks for the support given to me,” he added.
