KOTA SAMARAHAN: Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sarawak staged a spectacular official opening for Karnival Sukan Staf (Karista) 2020 here at its campus’ Jubilee Hall yesterday.
While a marching band performed at the opening ceremony, the welcoming dinner was attended by 1,405 UiTM athletes and staff from 14 contingents.
The 14 contingents are representing each university’s branch throughout the country.
Hosted by UiTM Sarawak, the athletes and staff will be competing in 20 sporting events including football, netball, tenpin bowling, golf, volleyball, badminton, dart, chess and e-Sports.
