MUKAH: A motorcyclist suffered head and facial injuries following an accident at Jalan Kampong Sesok Baru here on Sunday.
Mukah District police chief DSP Jimmy Panyau said the victim, Hassanal Beti, 46, from Kampung Sesok Baru was heading home prior to the accident at 1pm.
“The victim’s brother-in-law, Thai Thien Poh, 47, was informed by his child (Thai’s child) on the incident,” he said via WhatsApp on Sunday.
He added that Thai, who made a police report, did not know which direction the victim was travelling from before the accident occurred.
Hassanal was taken to Sibu Hospital for treatment and the case is being investigated under Rule 10LN 166/59 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959.
