KUCHING: Two vans were destroyed while a car parked closely was slightly damaged in a fire at Jalan Datuk Tawi Seli No 4 here last night.
In the 8.45pm incident, the State Fire and Rescue Department, which received a distress call from a member of the public, wasted no time in despatching firefighters from the Batu Lintang fire station.
Upon arrival, the firefighters saw two vans and a car, parked close to each other in front of a shop, on fire.
They managed to put out the fire but were unable to save the vans. The car was slightly damaged in the rear.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
