KUCHING: The body of Lembong Pin who was believed to have fallen into the sea while searching for crabs at Pasir Ambal in Asajaya, Samarahan, on August 16 was found yesterday.

According to a spokesman of the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the body was found in a mangrove forest, about one kilometre from Kampung Sampun Tebun at 10.20am.

The spokesman said the body was intact during the discovery and was handed over to the police at 11.48am for further action.

On August 16, Lembong, 75, from Kampung Serpan Laut, who was last seen at Pasir Ambal around 1.00am was reported missing after his boat was found unattended by villagers who believed that he might have fallen into the sea.
