BAU: A man was nabbed on suspicion of being an illegal lottery ticket agent during a raid, dubbed Ops Dadu, last Wednesday (Sept 23).
According to Bau district police chief DSP Poge Nyaon, the suspect, aged 23, was arrested at Jalan Johari Sunchar, Tasik Biru here at 2.40pm.
“A piece of paper with numbers written on it and RM44 cash were seized from the suspect.
“The suspect has no previous criminal record,” Poge said in a statement issued yesterday (Sept 24).
The case is being investigated under Section 4A (a) of the Common Gaming House Act 1953.
