BINTULU: The body of an unidentified person was found floating in Kemena River here on Monday (Sept 28).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre received a call from the police at 8.20am, requesting assistance to retrieve the body from the river.
Following the call, a team of firefighters of Bintulu Fire Station was deployed to the scene.
Upon arrival, the team immediately retrieved the body.
Further inspection found that the body did not yield any identification documents.
The deceased was then handed over to the police before being taken to Bintulu Hospital for further action.
