MIRI: Four individuals including a married couple were injured in an accident involving two vehicles at Jalan Bakam here, on Monday afternoon.
The accident ocurred about 5pm, involving Perodua Viva and Perodua Myvi cars.
It is learned that accident was believed to have occurred when the Myvi car coming from Bekenu headed to the city centre was said to have lost control before colliding with Perodua Viva coming from the opposite direction.
As a result of the collision, Myvi car passenger, a woman was trapped in the driver’s seat. As such a team of firefighters from the Miri station was called on to help remove the victim.
The strong impact of the accident caused Perodua Viva’s car carrying the married couple to be badly damaged on the front side.
The victims were sent to Miri Hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the real cause of the accident was t=yet to be ascertained and is still under the traffic police investigation.
