KUCHING: Two excavators caught fire at Jalan Diplomatik here last Monday (Oct 12).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre received a distress call on the incident at 8.40pm and deployed firefighters of Petra Jaya Fire and Rescue Station to the scene.
Upon arrival, the excavators were found 90 percent damaged.
The firefighters managed to put out the flames at 9.04pm and no casualties were reported in the incident.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
