
KUCHING: From January until Oct 12, 2017, there were 12 integrity/ disciplinary cases involving Road Transpor t Depar tment (RTD) officers in Sarawak.
This was revealed by RTD (Road Transport Department) Deputy Director-General Dato Wan Ahmad Uzir Wan Sulaiman during a press conference after officiating at the Corruption Free Pledge ceremony at Sarawak RTD Headquarters, 12th Mile Kuching-Serian Road here yesterday.
“Four of them were dismissed from their job, another one was suspended from duty while the rest were downgraded. “The type of puni shment meted out depends on the seriousness of the case,” said Ahmad, adding that throughout the whole of Malaysia, the total number of similar cases for the same period was 31.
