MIRI: A man was injured when his 4WD vehicle was involved in an accident at Jalan Luak here early yesterday morning. In the incident at about 3am the victim who was driving alone was said to be travelling from Bakam heading to Tanjon g Lobang.
The source said that upon arriving at the scene, the driver lost control of the vehicle and was flown to the opposite lane before almost turning turtle at the road shoulder.
“Due to the accident, the victim suffered injuries in several parts of the body and was sent to Miri Hospital for further treatment,” said a source familiar with the case. In a separate incident, a driver cheated death after his car rammed into the back of a lorry in the incident at Jalan Airport here, about 4pm on Thursday.
The impact caused the to lorry bump into the road divider while the front of the car driven by the victim was badly damaged. A team of traffic police rushed to the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
