KUCHING: Police are investigating a decomposed body of an unidentified person found floating in a river at Kampung Pasir Salak in Santubong near here on Tuesday.
After the villagers discovered the decomposed remains at 3pm they immediately contacted the police.
Deputy Kuching district police chief, Supt Abang Junaidi Abang Anuar confirmed the case and said that the police have classified it as a sudden death report.
Abang Junaidi said anyone with information on the deceased’s identity is urged to assist in the investigation. The body had been taken to Sarawak General Hospital’s morgue for a post mortem.
