DARO: Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad and Igan MP Ahmad Johnie Zawawi disbursed a total of RM136,000 to 16 JKKKs and two non-governmental organisations in Kampung Tengah.
A cheque for RM126,000 was given to the JKKKs while an additional RM10,000 was given to two NGOs at the Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri event last Sunday (May 22).
The event was organised by Kampung Tengah, and the management committee of Surau Darul Mu’min and Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kampung Tengah.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) report, Safiee pointed out that many changes had been seen in Kampung Tengah, including the ongoing construction of a community hall.
He hoped that the JKKKs would use the funds wisely for the benefit of the respective villages
