SRI AMAN : A 37-year-old man, Pang Siaw Ming, died on the spot after the Proton Waja he was driving was involved in a collision with a 10-tonne lorry at Km 45, Bukit Begunan here.
Meanwhile, the lorry driver escaped unhurt in the incident.
Firemen led by Sri Aman fire chief, William Ak Baheng (Ketua Balai Sri Aman rushed to the scene after they were informed about the accident at about 10.57am yesterday. Using a rescue hydraulic spreader-cutter, they worked hard to free the body of the car driver which was stuck in his vehicle until noon.
Medics present at the scene confirmed the car driver had died before the remains were surrendered to the police for further actions.
