KUCHING: As a message to get traders to get into the act, Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) workers cleaned the ditches around the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) farmer’s market in Matang Jaya on Wednesday (July 28).

The activity was part of the ‘Clean Town’ programme in conjunction with the ongoing Kuching Cleanliness Month.

MPP chairman and Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang was present to deliver leaflets to the traders and the public, the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) said in a report.

Lo urged the public to take it upon themselves to always keep the environment clean.
