KUCHING: A man ran amok at Kpg Bintawa near here at 11pm last Sunday when his family members and villagers tried to suppress him.
The 35-year-old man has mental disorder lives in the house with his family members.
He screamed that he was being chased and ran out of the house waking up the neighbours.
His family members and a few villagers tried to calm him down and also restrained him but the man screamed even louder.
Police were called in to assist as he tried to hurt himself. His father then took him to Sarawak General Hospital where he screamed at doctors who attempted to treat him.
He was later sedated and now being warded in the hospital.
