KUCHING: A motorcyclist was flung from the motorcycle he was riding after it collided with a learner car driver at a traffic light junction at Kenyalang Park near here at 5pm on Thursday.

The impact of the collision caused the front bumper of the car to drop to the ground while the motorcyclist was flung a few metres from his motorcycle on the road.

The motorcyclist fractured his left leg and was later taken to Sarawak General Hospital in an ambulance for treatment.

The shaken young learner car driver did not dare to drive back home after the collision.

It was not known who jumped the red light at the time of the accident.

The case is being investigated.
