KUCHING: A 24-year-old rider died from severe injuries after his motorcycle collided with an oncoming car at Jalan Three Hills Park here on Wednesday (Feb 15).
Kuching OCPD ACP Ahsmon Bajah, in a statement, said the accident happened around 5.30 pm.
Investigations found that the victim was riding his motorcycle alone from Pending to Jalan Foochow 1 before it skidded and collided head-on with a car on the opposite lane.
“The impact had left the victim with severe head injuries and he was later pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
“His body was taken to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for post-mortem,” he said.
Ahsmon added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
