KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg chaired the State Development Coordination Committee meeting in Sibu on today (Aug 7).

The meeting was the fourth one to be held after Kapit, Miri and Lawas this year.

Among others, the objective of the meeting was to discuss new directions, issues and solutions in ensuring that all projects that have been approved could be implemented according to specifications.

After the meeting, Abang Johari visited the site of phase three of Sibu Flood Mitigation Project at Kampung Nangka.

Later, he also visited the Kampung Datu Redevelopment project site at Kampung Datu Baru, Sibu.

Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian; National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang and State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki were among those present at the meeting.
