KUCHING: Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Sri Fadillah Yusof has donated cattle to the Kuching District Police headquarters (IPD) for its Hari Raya Aidiladha event held at the Tabuan Jaya police station compound here on Thursday.
Kuching district police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah said the ‘Ibadah Korban’ (Islamic Sacrificial Ritual) programme which was held from 7.30am until 1pm was attended by police officers, and several distinguished guests.
“Among the distinguished guests was Morshidi Said, the private secretary to Datuk Sri Fadillah Yusof, who is also Petra Jaya member of parliament.
Ahsmon relayed that the objective of the event was to unite police officers as well as provide further assistance to the less fortunate groups by distributing the sacrificial meat to widows and the marginalised.
“The Kuching police would like to thank everyone involved for making the event successful. Your cooperation and commitment is much appreciated as the event went smoothly,” he said.
